George Washington Bridge

The George Washington Bridge, sometimes referred to as the GWB, is a toll bridge connecting Manhattan to Fort Lee, New Jersey. It is different than the Washington Bridge listed above, which connects upper Manhattan and the Bronx. The Department of Transportation (DOT) manages construction projects to repair or maintain toll free bridges in New York City.

You can schedule the opening of one of the City's drawbridges or movable bridges. From your marine radio, contact the City's Bridge Operator on Channel 13. Monitor the status of bridge operations on Channel 16.

You can also request repair or replacement of maritime navigation lights which are located under a bridge and mark boating channel locations.
