CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and AEDs (automated external defibrillator) can help save lives during an emergency. You can learn how to perform hands-only CPR and use AEDs at a free class taught by the Fire Department's Emergency Medical Service.

At the class, you will get hands-on practice with an instructional video. You will also get a DVD, key chain, and the free FDNY "Be 911" Lifesaver app as a reminder of what to do in an emergency.

These classes do not provide certification.
