All City Clerk offices are currently closed. In-person marriage record requests or changes are not available until further notice. 

You can get a marriage record by mailing in a completed application. You may also use City Clerk Online to fill out an application which you can print and mail to the City Clerk's office.

Mail the application along with the appropriate fee and a photocopy of proper identification to:

Need something else?

A certificate of Marriage Registration has a printed seal and contains the following information about both partners at the time of marriage:

  • Full names
  • Addresses
  • Date of birth or age
  • Place of birth

You can get a record of marriages performed during the present year through the borough office that issued the marriage license. For past years, you must contact the Manhattan City Clerk's office.
